Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
This policy explains what information FoneVibe (fonevibe.com) handles when you use the site. The short version: your files never leave your device, we don't use cookies, and we collect as little as we can.
Your files stay on your device
FoneVibe's tools work entirely inside your browser. When you choose a song, recording or video, it is read, trimmed and converted on your own phone or computer. Your files are never uploaded to us or anyone else, so we can't see, store or share them. They are held in memory only while the page is open.
To convert M4A and M4R files, your browser downloads a converter program (ffmpeg) from our content server. This is a one-way download: nothing about you or your file is sent back.
Information we do process
- Hosting: our host, Cloudflare, processes the technical data every website receives (IP address, browser type, the page requested) to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
- Analytics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and measure page speed. It collects the page address, referring site, browser, device type and country. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't fingerprint you and doesn't follow you to other sites. File names and audio are never sent.
- Email: if you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and delete them when they're no longer needed.
We don't ask for accounts, sell personal data, or use it for profiling.
Cookies and local storage
We set no cookies. We save your light/dark theme choice in your browser's local storage. See the cookie notice for details.
Advertising
We plan to show Google AdSense ads to keep FoneVibe free. Before ads go live we'll update this policy to explain how Google uses cookies and data, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Children
FoneVibe is a general-audience site. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you. Because we hold almost none, most requests are simple: email us and we'll respond within 30 days.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
